MS Word is an application that I find myself using almost every day of my life. I have used it very often ever since high school for educational reasons. In High School, I used MS Word more to create study guides an occasionally to write papers. But in College, I am constantly writing papers or completing assignments using Word. Since my major is very English and Media focuses, I do quite a bit of work online through Word. I am currently in 2 online classes which for the most part, only function by submitting papers created in MS Word. My teachers use Word as a way to create exams, syllabuses, announcement and everything in between. They also use it as a way that students are able to submit files to them for grading in a uniform way (.docx).
Learning about copyright has been much more emphasized in my College years rather than my High School or younger years. I have not personally experienced any issues with copyright besides some YouTube videos being taken down due to these laws. In my schooling, I have not run into any issues with this mostly due to the fact that I have been taught how to cite and source correctly, so that I always give the person or company credit for their work. If I were a teacher, I would make sure my students new how to cite and source correctly so that they too will not ever have to run into any issues with copyright laws. I would teach them how to manually cite their sources first and foremost, but I would also give them instruction on how to do this through the internet. Using the internet for citing has come in handy for me throughout my education. As society as a whole is turning more and more to technology to make their lives easier, I think this skill it very important for modern students.
My solution to copyright, as mentioned above, would be to teach my students how to avoid this by citing correctly. If these rules were not followed in my classroom, it would reflect my students' grades. I would do this in order to teach them a lesson, so that they would never run into real trouble with copyright and the law.
Cyberbullying is something I feel passionately about eliminating. This form of harassment is no better than physical bullying. Many people especially students have been greatly effected by cyberbullies. If this situation would arise in my classroom, I would assess the situation and immediate give the student the consequence with no mercy. Cyberbullying should never be overlooked, and I would make sure my students knew that.
Academic Honesty is another topic in which I feel passionately about. I think it is important to teach students from a young age that they should do their own work and not cut corners by cheating. In the long run, this quality will make a different in their lives in terms of work and their social lives. If academic dishonestly would occur in my classroom I would automatically give the student a 0 for the assignment. I would do this so that they do not get credit for work they do not deserve, and so that they will hopefully not do this again and learn to be honest in all aspects of their lives.

Many of us consider fair use of other people's work as proper citing in the research papers, but it is more than that. We create and disseminate information in both the real world and online world and we need to respect other people's creation. Therefore creative commons is an interesting solution for us to treat IP seriously and encourage people to respect our IP.
